A fantastic school in Woodley has an opportunity for a recent graduate to join their team as a Mental Health Assistant. The school caters to students with complex needs, learning disabilities, as well as social, emotional, and mental health needs.
As a Mental Health Assistant, the candidate will be responsible for providing students with 1-1 support and attention throughout the school day. The candidate will encourage students to maintain focus and work towards achieving independence and life skills. The school is looking for a graduate to work alongside the support staff and on-site professionals.
This role is crucial within the school, so they seek a candidate who can work under their own initiative, possesses emotional intelligence, and has a genuine interest in seeing the pupils succeed. The Mental Health Assistant will work with a small group of students alongside a specialist SEN Teacher and a second Mental Health Assistant.
