Multi-Skilled Operative
Main Location: Dartford, Travel across West Kent & Maidstone
Up to £33,000 per annum
Full time - Permanent - 42.5hrs per week (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm)
Including Company vehicle and fuel card
Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) provides a full range of in-patient and out-patient mental health services across Kent & Medway operating across numerous sites. The Trust has a diverse property portfolio of around 68 sites with an approximate total GIA of 70,000 sq. m spread across Kent and Medway, which provide 24-7 365-day patient services.
About the Role:
As a Multi Skilled Operative within our Kent branch, the main duties will include undertaking general plumbing, joinery, flooring, fabric, handyman tasks, all non-specialist PPM's, and repairs. You will be part of a local team undertaking high standard Multi Trade repairs and refurbishment activities to NHS buildings delivering best in class customer service while satisfying all safety, quality, and cost control standards. This role requires the successful candidate to be part of an on-call rota.
Role Criteria:
* Experience in at least 1 of the following trades: Plastering, Carpentry, Floor Laying.
* Able to understand & follow standard operating procedures.
* Able to deal with fast-paced environments and adaptable to changing working conditions.
* Must be flexible and able to take on other responsibilities.
* Team player with the ability to work alone.
* Knowledge of working in a critical NHS setting would be beneficial but not essential.
* Experience of using a PDA is desirable but training will be provided.
