Behaviour Mentor Location: Weoley Castle, Birmingham, B29 Daily Rate: £95 - £105 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term time only) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis, focusing on behaviour management and engagement in the classroom. The role is based at a welcoming primary school in Weoley Castle and is offered on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. What the school is looking for: Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent). Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a Primary School or with children in a behaviour support role. Skills: Strong behaviour management strategies, experience using de-escalation techniques, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. Knowledge & Experience: A solid understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs, with experience using tailored support strategies such as visual timetables, sensory breaks, and emotional regulation techniques. Good knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with the ability to adapt learning activities to engage and support the pupil effectively. About the school: Located in Weoley Castle, B29.
