When working as Senior Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse Work within a clinical team to deliver a specialist service, based on principles that are research based and which enhance the quality of patient care. Develops the skills to assess and interpret specialist information and conditions and takes appropriate action. Undertakes clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for the full range of cardiac procedures in the Cardiac catheter lab including complex procedures such as structural cardiac interventions and ablation. When Working as Cardiac Physiologist Have in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the cardio-vascular system and the full range of interventional equipment in use Be highly competent in ECG application and able to recognise and report on a wide range of abnormalities on ECG, intra-cardiac pressure waves / shunts, valve gradients and cardiac output if necessary Provide technical support for coronary interventional and structural interventional procedures Please see attached Job Description for further information on detailed responsibilities
