The Role
As the Applications Sales Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in expanding market share and achieving sales targets. This is an exciting opportunity to lead sales initiatives, shape product strategies, and make a real impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales Leadership: Drive profitable revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Offer tailored technical solutions and support to meet client needs.
* Market Insight: Conduct thorough market research to uncover trends, assess competitors, and understand customer requirements. Use these insights to guide product development and refine sales strategies.
* Customer Engagement: Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expansion.
* Application Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of shredding solutions for specific waste streams (e.g., plastics, paper, tyres, electronics). Share this expertise with internal teams and third-party representatives.
* Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between customers, project managers, and system integrators, ensuring smooth communication and project delivery.
* Reporting & Planning: Use CRM tools like Salesforce to maintain accurate sales data, forecast revenue, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Who You Are
* Experienced: 7–10 years of experience in industrial equipment sales, ideally in shredding or material conveyance systems.
* Educated: Degree in Engineering or a related technical field. Advanced qualifications are an advantage.
* Skilled: Exceptional communication, project management, and analytical abilities with a proven track record in direct sales and business development.
* Knowledgeable: Deep understanding of industrial shredding applications and market dynamics.
* Driven: Self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about delivering innovative solutions.
* Ready to Travel: Comfortable with up to 80% travel, including overseas trips.
* Multilingual: Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
* Qualified: Possess a valid driver’s license and passport with the right to work in the UK.
