We are seeking a highly capable Group Reporting Manager to join Ngāi Tahu Holdings on a full-time, fixed term basis through until September 2025. This opportunity will be based in Christchurch - Ōtautahi.
Reporting to the Group Finance Operations Manager, you will provide accounting and financial business support across a diverse portfolio of assets and commercial ventures, including tourism, seafood, property, farming, forestry, and investments. Your role will be pivotal in supporting decision-making by working closely with Business Unit Managers and the Finance team, while also ensuring service excellence to our customers and delivering value to Ngāi Tahu whānui.
Ngāi Tahu Holdings, the investment arm of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, is committed to the expert management of capital investments. Our mandate is to grow and protect the tribal pūtea and Settlement assets for future generations, "Mō tātou, ā, mō kā uri ā muri ake nei" (for us and our children after us).
We are looking for a talented and driven individual with:
* Strong technical and statutory accounting experience
* Experience managing year-end close processes and liaising with external auditors
* A relevant tertiary qualification, with CA to CAANZ preferred
* At least 5 years of experience in corporate reporting such as controller or manager
* Advanced skills in the Microsoft product suite
* Familiarity with the Treaty of Waitangi and its application to Ngāi Tahu
* An affinity for the needs and aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānui
* A willingness to learn and engage with te reo Māori and tikanga Māori
In this role, you will also lead statutory financial reporting, ensure compliance with NZ IFRS and PBE standards, manage treasury reporting, and support sustainability initiatives, including greenhouse gas emission reporting.
