Doncaster Council’s Public Health team are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead collaboration to accelerate the reduction in smoking rates across Doncaster. The postholder will be responsible for the tobacco control portfolio and coordinate the implementation of our tobacco control plan. The responsibilities of this post will predominantly include but are not limited to:
1. Leading the development, delivery and programme management of multiple tobacco related public health projects.
2. Managing the planning, delivery, monitoring and reporting of activity funded by the ringfenced stop smoking service grant.
3. Supporting the commissioning process of smoking cessation services.
4. Supporting the Director of Public Health and Senior Leadership team in addressing health inequalities for Doncaster residents.
We are looking for candidates with a demonstrated track record of working on complex public health issues, particularly in the field of tobacco control. Ideal candidates should possess extensive knowledge of all aspects of tobacco control, alongside broader public health capabilities. Additionally, they should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience leading and collaborating within diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
