Our client, a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, are seeking an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Nottingham on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will join their Mechanical and Electrical Design team and will be leading and managing project coordination and delivery, creating comprehensive designs, detailed drawings and intricate schematics, utilising a suite of current software tools.
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Position Remuneration
Salary: £45k - £55k (Guide only - DOE)

Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Position Requirements
1. Professionally qualified to degree level or equivalent.
2. Ideally professionally registered with CIBSE and/or IET.
3. Proficiency in REVIT.
4. Prior experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineer role working within another consultancy in the built environment.
Lead Mechanical Design Engineer Position Overview
1. Manage projects effectively to ensure that the co-ordination of technical elements is achieved to meet project targets.
2. Provide full line management responsibilities for the Mechanical team supporting the growth and development of our junior, intermediate and senior engineers.
3. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with legal and technical regulations, codes of practice or guidelines.
4. Ensure that the designs are delivered within the planned programme for projects and that the designs are within budget.
5. Provide exceptional proficiency in mechanical building services design, and a deep comprehension of technical requirements, legislation, and industry best practice.
6. Exhibit a strong commercial acumen and exercise financial oversight, monitoring project expenditure against established targets.
7. Lead the Mechanical Team, provide guidance and act as a mentor to the team.
8. Create and develop designs that meet and satisfy client briefs in co-operation with other design professionals.
9. Provide professional and technical expertise and advice to all internal and external customers as required, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
