Autism Support Worker

The Role
Protocol Education is working alongside a Doncaster based SEN school and is looking for an Autism Support Worker (ASW) to work alongside the teacher to deliver a personalised autism-friendly academic and social skills curriculum.
The school aims to build and promote safe and independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding, and enablement.
Key Aspects of the Role:
* Provide tailored support to pupils to enable them to learn in an appropriate environment
* Ensure the safeguarding of all pupils
* Provide care as required. This may include personal care and support of SEMH (Training will be provided)
* Assist in delivering and running small group activities
* Support the class teacher in the general running of the sessions
* Prepare materials and learning aids
Although previous experience working as a TA, or working with SEN is preferred, it is not essential. The school is more interested in your personality and ability to form good relationships with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
