Job Title: Regional Director of Housing Services
Location: This is a home-based role that will focus on the North Region requiring regular travel across the area, although applications are welcome from candidates based elsewhere.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Director of Housing Services to lead our north region, optimising our housing services, developing and delivering a regional plan as well as supporting our transformation ambitions.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Housing Services, you will help shape and implement a strategic vision for rented housing and home ownership, keeping residents at the heart of everything we do. Your leadership will ensure high-quality, responsive services that align with regulatory frameworks and the highest housing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver tailored, high-quality services that exceed housing consumer standards and meet diverse resident needs.
2. Provide visionary leadership to teams, driving performance, engagement, and collaboration.
3. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, including the Social Housing Regulation Act.
4. Lead transformative housing initiatives with minimal disruption and maximum impact.
5. Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including statutory agencies and regulatory bodies.
6. Manage a budget exceeding £150m and lead a team of approximately 800 colleagues across a range of housing functions.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an approachable and confident leadership style.
2. Exceptional planning and organisational skills to set clear agendas and meet business needs.
3. Financial acumen to effectively manage budgets and resources.
4. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
5. A commitment to championing organisational development and promoting risk-aware decision-making.
6. Flexibility to adapt and travel regularly as required.
Skills and Experience
1. Expertise in the housing sector, particularly in rented housing and home ownership.
2. Experience managing senior-level customer services in regulated, complex environments.
3. Knowledge of best practices in customer service, with an eye for applying emerging technologies.
4. Leadership experience managing large teams and driving change in fast-paced settings.
5. Stakeholder management skills to foster strong relationships with residents, customers, and regulatory bodies.
6. Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards.
