Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse - Out of hours
The Rowe Veterinary Group is recruiting for an experienced night nurse or a nurse wishing to try something different working part time twilight shifts. You will be able to work in an enriching environment where you will use your nursing skills and assist in the high standard of care provided to a wide variety of cases.
This role will be different from others as your focus will be on the triage of our emergency patients and appointments providing emergency care when needed. You will work closely with the other night nurse prioritising the patients and the emergencies that arrive. This position is working Wednesday-Wednesday 5PM to 2AM, which is our busiest time for emergencies. You will work this pattern on a week on week off basis, allowing for real flexibility and an excellent work-life balance.
About us
As part of the Emergency Veterinary Service, you will work alongside the rest of the dedicated EVS team, including another Veterinary Nurse covering the full night hours, night and twilight Veterinary Surgeons, and a dedicated team of Care Assistants. At EVS, the majority of our patients stay on site for the duration of their treatment. This provides a real opportunity for the team to work up their own cases and allows case and patient continuity. The Emergency Veterinary Service works alongside the Rowe Veterinary Group, as well as providing OOH cover for numerous practices locally. You will also help to care for patients who are hospitalised by our Referral department in a variety of disciplines, including Medicine, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Soft Tissue, Oncology, and Dentistry.
Our tier 3 hospital has excellent facilities including digital X-Ray, CT, MRI, blood pressure monitoring & ECG, on-site laboratory, dental X-ray, ultrasound, and more. We are looking for someone to join our team who strives for clinical excellence, excellent client and patient care, and has a passion for doing things right clinically, and importantly is a great team player.
