We are currently partnering with a leading specialist in the design and in-house manufacture of high-spec, premium-quality steel doorsets to find a talented Estimator to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for creating and providing accurate estimates and quotations to clients across the UK.
Role Purpose:
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in compiling and submitting accurate estimates using the Company's internal estimating system, ensuring that customers receive the best possible service and value.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate estimates using the Company's quotation system, ensuring compliance with the agreed pricing strategy.
2. Effectively manage time while working on multiple estimates to meet deadlines and KPIs.
3. Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers to ensure seamless communication.
4. Amend and upgrade client drawings and specifications to produce accurate estimates.
5. Address customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner.
6. Provide clients with suggestions on specifications that suit their budget and needs.
7. Collaborate daily with the Operational and Sales teams to ensure smooth workflow and client satisfaction.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience in estimating within a relevant industry.
2. Knowledge of the door and hardware sector is desirable.
3. Customer-focused with experience in client-facing roles.
4. Strong understanding of estimating software systems.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including MS Word and Excel.
Qualifications:
1. Completed or currently working towards a Certificate in Architectural Hardware Stage 2 is desirable.
