Job Description: We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both remotely and in the office. The position starts with 8 hours per week, with the potential to increase to 24 hours per week as the workload grows. You will be responsible for managing key financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our business. The ideal candidate will be experienced in bookkeeping, familiar with Xero, and capable of handling a variety of financial responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Preparing end-of-year financial documents and reports. Managing VAT returns and submissions. Performing bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. Handling PAYE processes, including payroll and compliance. Managing CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) submissions and deductions. Utilizing Xero software for all bookkeeping tasks. Collaborating with the wider team to ensure financial accuracy and compliance. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with a strong understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in Xero and related bookkeeping software. Knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and CIS processes. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting. Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
