BENCH JOINER
Kenect Recruitment have a superb opportunity for an experienced Bench Joiner to join a leading UK supplier of staircases, windows and doors. For more than a decade, they have worked in partnership with several of the UK's leading house builders, property developers and the general public. They are now looking to expand our customer base, and further recruitment is required to support our next level of growth.
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 07:30 - 17:00 (Monday to Thursday) & 07:30 - 14:30 on a Friday.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
Reporting to the Production Manager you will be expected to:
1. Be a time-served Joiner with industry experience NVQ / City & Guilds qualifications in bench joinery or equivalent
2. Have experience in modern woodworking machinery and hand tools
3. Be able to read drawings, templates & written instructions
4. Produce a bespoke range of joinery
5. Work to tight deadlines
6. Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills
7. Work independently or as part of a team
8. Ensure the quality of work is completed to the highest degree
9. Maintain a clean and safe environment and follow all Health and Safety policies
10. Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to ensure production is on track
11. Perform any other tasks as requested by a manager
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
1. Skilled and experienced in joinery
2. The ability to deliver work to our high standards of craftsmanship and finish.
3. A joinery background is essential
4. Demonstrated leadership qualities
5. Staircases experience preferred, but not essential
6. Ability to read and understand drawings
