Responsibilities in your new role as Materials Planner
In this pivotal role, you will take day-to-day accountability for scheduling and expediting components against SAP MRP requirements. Your contributions will support the ongoing development of Planning and Procurement activities to meet our inventory targets. You will ensure all relevant master data and procurement parameters are accurate and updated within the MRP system. Key responsibilities also include planning and scheduling deliveries of purchased products to align with forecasts, managing stock levels of procured products, overseeing daily book-in and goods-in updates, and liaising with various departments to resolve material issues. Additionally, you will engage in continual improvement projects and maintain strong supplier relationships to optimize service levels and address any challenges promptly.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We are looking for someone who has experience working in an FMCG environment, with a background as a Materials Scheduler/Controller/Planner considered a strong advantage. You should demonstrate strong problem analysis, judgment, and decision-making skills. The ability to plan effectively, meet deadlines, and achieve targets is essential, along with a solid understanding of MRP/ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is required. Flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will help you thrive in our fast-paced setting.
