We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Baker to join the team in our Restaurant in Strikes Garden Centre. Our competitive rate of pay for this role is £11.90 per hour. The hours for this role are 32 per week over 4 days. Weekend work is required in this role so flexibility is a must. The Role As a Baker you will work as part of the kitchen team to produce a range of freshly baked goods each day. You’ll be enthusiastic and passionate about quality and freshness and produce that special something for our customers to have at the end of their meal. What you will be doing as an Baker? You will be responsible for the daily production of freshly baked scones, cakes and desserts. Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and quantity of baked goods Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and portion sizes. Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters. Decorate and present baked goods in an appealing manner Work closely with the Chef/Restaurant Manager to plan production. Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards Close down bakery area each day including preparation for the following day.
