The role

Think you have what it takes to help us make a difference? This could be the perfect time for you to join us in our People Department as a Talent Acquisition Adviser.
As a Talent Acquisition Adviser, you will build upon the already established Northumbria Police employer brand, assisting the force to source the best and brightest talent.
What you'll do
You will work with internal stakeholders to identify their current and future resourcing needs, support with engagement and attraction of candidates using various sourcing tools, and assist with the creation of innovative bespoke attraction and assessment methods for a variety of roles.
This will involve you managing the end-to-end recruitment delivery for a range of vacancies across police staff teams, including niche and volume roles, always ensuring a candidate-centric process is delivered.
What you'll bring
* Ability to identify gaps in the recruiting process and suggest positive changes where appropriate.
* Solid understanding of full-cycle talent management.
* Ability to manage a high volume of candidates for a number of positions at speed.
* Proven, outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience of working in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
* Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
* Maximise the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS).
* Adopt content marketing for recruiting.
* Create talent pipelines for key roles.

Terms of appointment
This is a fixed term role subject to a six-month probationary period.
