Feeling undervalued?
Or perhaps your hard work is going unnoticed.
If job satisfaction is important to you, leading the Finance Team at Pipers Corner School could be your calling.
Nestled in 96 acres of beautiful Chiltern countryside, just four miles north of High Wycombe and two miles from Great Missenden, Pipers Corner offers an environment where your expertise will be recognised and appreciated. With stunning views of the sprawling grounds from your office, the daily commute to London and all that comes with it could soon be a distant memory.
The school comprises approximately 620 students, employs over 170 staff, and has a total income approaching £15m. Demand for places has risen in recent years, and the school remains full - testament to its outstanding reputation.
As Finance Manager, you’ll work closely with the Bursar, leading all financial operations across the school. You’ll have the freedom to advise, support, and shape financial strategy, while ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the finance function.
From overseeing fee billing, credit control, salaries, and pensions to budgetary control, management accounts, and statutory reporting, you’ll take full ownership of the school’s financial health. You’ll also manage banking, cash flow, and purchasing, working alongside the school’s auditors to produce annual statutory accounts.
Leading a dedicated team, including a Senior Finance Assistant, Finance Assistant, and Purchase Ledger Clerk, you’ll foster a high-performing and supportive environment.
Experience in the education sector isn’t essential; if you have a strong understanding of how a school operates and a background in SME finance, you’ll transition seamlessly into this role. However, given the seniority of the position, you will need to be a qualified accountant.
In return, you’ll receive:
* 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays
* A pension contribution of up to 9% from the school
* An annual professional review and commitment to CPD
* Free lunch during term time
* Use of the fitness suite and swimming pool
* Staff clubs such as yoga, running, football, and choir
* Cycle-to-work scheme
* On-site car parking
* Access to a counselling service
* Cycle to work scheme
