Our business was built by passionate and committed people and now moveero Ltd, based in Telford, are looking to recruit an IT Technician to join their team in a fast-paced, primarily off-highway wheel and automotive manufacturing environment.
Role Purpose:
As an IT Technician, you will be part of a central support team working with the local IT Manager and other team members, delivering first-class and customer-focused IT services. This will involve 1st and 2nd line work to provide support to local and remote users, as well as configuration and installation of infrastructure and user equipment. You will be integral to the migration from an outsourced IT support system to a centrally run team, assisting the IT manager on various projects to accomplish this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install and configure software and provision hardware.
2. Facilitate the connectivity of shop floor IT systems.
3. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
4. Troubleshoot issues and outages.
5. Perform routine maintenance where required.
6. Develop expertise to train staff and document new technologies.
7. Assist with integration of new systems and technologies.
8. Administer license servers Creo, Adobe, Autodesk.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
1. Proven experience as an IT Technician, Systems, or Network Administrator, or similar role.
2. Troubleshooting, resourcefulness, and problem-solving aptitude.
3. Experience of Cisco networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN) and patch management.
4. Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
5. Experience of printer management and support.
6. Excellent communication skills: face to face, written, and verbal.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. Strong organization skills with an ability for prioritization and workload management to meet business demands.
9. Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade “C” or above including English and Mathematics.
Desirable
1. Service now Helpdesk experience.
2. Continuous improvement mindset.
3. Exposure to the following technologies:
* Cisco Voice and collaboration technology
* MS- AD, SharePoint, O365, Azure, Win10, SQL, SCCM, Server 2019.
* VMWare.
* Qliksense or other BI tools.
1. Experience of manufacturing environments – situational and safety conscious.
2. Recognized IT qualification in IT technician, Tech Support, Desktop Support, Support desk, etc.
Language skills required
Appropriate level of written and verbal English required in order to satisfy role requirements. Danish and Italian would also be useful.
Hours of work: 37 hours Monday to Friday
Salary: up to £28k D.O.E
Annual leave: 185 hours plus bank holidays
