Canadian Linen and Uniform Service Company is looking for a hands-on Team Lead to join our team in Halifax.
Job Description:
Provide maintenance on fire tube boiler, compressors, water filtering and softening systems, washers, dryers, and conveyors.
Provide maintenance for the building and facility.
1. Assisting outside contractors on major repairs of systems and complex machinery.
2. Perform simple troubleshooting of equipment and carry out all maintenance activities.
3. Operate power tools and machine shop machinery (saws, drills, welders).
4. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing routine preventive and corrective maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
5. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
6. For problems with higher complexity, consult with supervisor and/or peer mechanics and get guidance/instructions from them, in order to fix problems.
7. Dismantle machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Reassemble and test after repair.
8. Back-up for Chief Engineer when needed.
Job Requirements:
1. 2+ years of experience in similar positions in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
