Job Title: Internal Sales & Key Accounts Support
Location: Outskirts of Colchester (transport is required due to location)
Job Type: 40 Hours a week.
Salary: up to £28,000 depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales & Key Accounts Support professional to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a sales-driven environment and enjoys delivering exceptional service to key clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Account Support
* Handle incoming sales calls and enquiries
* Proactively engage existing customers to upsell and cross-sell products
* Process sales orders and respond to stock and delivery queries
* Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner
* Monitor stock levels and liaise with logistics to ensure timely deliveries
* Arrange haulage to meet customer requirements
* Report on shortages, delays, or lead-time concerns
* Support Regional Sales Directors with the planning and management of key accounts
* Work closely with clients to meet specific deadlines and service expectations
* Review and improve sales processes to enhance performance
Key Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a key account or internal sales role
* Experience with national accounts or buying groups is a plus
* Industry background in construction or merchant/distribution sector desirable
* Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
* Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
* Confident working independently with a proactive mindset
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
Performance & Results Focus
* Support operational targets and KPIs alongside Regional Sales Directors
* Monitor performance and identify improvements to boost productivity and margins
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely product delivery and issue resolution
Customer Experience
* Promote a customer-first culture, ensuring high satisfaction across all touchpoints
* Help implement and refine internal procedures to improve service delivery
Health & Safety / Compliance
* Adhere to all relevant health & safety procedures and company policies
* Ensure compliance with legislation and internal quality standards
