Our employer, along with several other Scottish based Aircraft Maintenance Organisations (AMO) have also partnered with the Scottish Government and two Technical Colleges to create a unique pathway to achieving an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer EASA Part 66 licence. This qualification, which you will also undertake as part of your apprenticeship programme, is recognised worldwide and enables the holder to work on various aircraft types and under many National Authorities throughout the aviation sector You will be employed from day 1 and supported throughout a structured 4 year apprenticeship programme. You will require to commit to a programme of both on and off the job learning, resulting in your attainment of: an MA in Aircraft Maintenance .The successful applicants will also complete the various modules leading to the academic award of a EASA Part 66 basic licence and in parallel will be given practical skills training and 'on the job' experience to meet the European civil aviation standards. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 Nat 5s, including Maths, English and Physics, or equivalent, relevant qualifications at minimum SCQF level 6. You must hold strong communication skills and an ability to approach tasks in a logical manner. You must also have the ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate enthusiasm to pursue a career within the engineering industry. You will be self-motivated, driven and willing to learn. You will also be required to use your initiative and have a flexible approach to learning. As part of the recruitment process you will require to complete an on-line and practical aptitude test.
