GSL Education are looking for an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Blandford Forum. As an SEN Support Worker, you will be at the heart of creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve working closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support, ensuring that all students can fully participate in their education. Responsibilities Offer focused one-on-one and small group assistance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them fully engage with their learning. Collaborate with teachers to deliver lessons that are both effective and engaging, ensuring that SEN students can actively participate. Help create a classroom atmosphere that is supportive, welcoming, and inclusive for all students, promoting a positive learning experience. Keep track of student progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers, helping to tailor support based on each student’s needs. Offer guidance and supervision during break times and extracurricular activities to ensure students feel supported throughout the school day. Contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and structured environment where students can thrive both academically and socially Requirements Previous experience as an SEN Support Worker is desirable. Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection. Ability to adapt to the needs of individual students. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service. Passion for working with children with special educational needs.
