Our client, a leading global organisation, is seeking a dynamic Commercial Manager with a focus on construction and infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of maintenance contracts and play a key role in driving innovation and transformation within the commercial function and projects.
You will ideally have a financial background with a relevant degree/ CIMA or ACCA qualification.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be an integral part of a high-performing team, managing internal operations while maintaining a presence on-site with clients to ensure seamless collaboration and service delivery.
This hybrid role requires you to be in Glasgow for 2-3 days each week, with some travel to Edinburgh based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and analyse contracts, ensuring project requirements are met and optimising operational and commercial outcomes while resolving any issues that arise with customers.
* Prepare, assess, and negotiate Variation Proposals, along with incoming proposals from customers.
* Handle all communications between customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract guidelines and resolving any issues.
* Maintain accurate Percentage of Completion models for multiple large projects.
* Oversee financial budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reports.
* Provide key updates and reports to project managers and operational teams.
* Manage risks and opportunities, working closely with project managers and teams to mitigate risks, capitalise on opportunities, and enhance processes to improve productivity.
What They’re Looking For:
* A background in finance, with either a relevant degree or ACCA/CIMA certification.
* Previous experience in a finance & commercial role.
* Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Expertise in contractual agreements and terms.
* Experience with SAP is desirable.
