* Job Summary:
1. To serve as the director of evangelism and church planting at Watersprings Christian Centre (WCC). Evangelism and Church
planting are channels through which WCC lives out its calling to share the good news of Jesus Christ in the United Kingdom.
This role is one of ensuring the mission for evangelism and church planting is exciting, clear, widely agreed and well
communicated and that strategies are thoughtfully and prayerfully developed and supported by robust tactical plans. Success
in this role will be achieved through strong relationships and clear competence rather than command and control.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop a national vision for evangelism and subsequently church planting, supported by a variety of local
strategies, for building confidence in execution of evangelism at WCC.
2. Share stories, supported by qualitative and quantitative evidence, about evangelism and church growth
implemented elsewhere to motivate participation of church members at WCC.
3. Build learning communities and raise a culture and mind set at WCC that every church should grow, in its context
and in its tradition as well as provide guidance to high-quality resources to support this movement.
4. Chair the meetings of the evangelism, church growth and church planting committees.
5. Ensure that the church website and social media channels allow everyone, and particularly those at an early stage
of exploring faith, feel welcomed and have easy access to materials which will help them.
6. Be committed to continuous professional development.
7. Be committed to working as a team and bringing growth to the church at WCC.
8. Be committed to servant leadership, being receptive to feedback from team members, the congregation, and
pastors.
9. Be committed to serving through your passion, faith, and expression of worship unto God through evangelism.
10. Commitment to being an example in attitude and action both on and off the platform and representing our church
well.
11. Commitment to the vision, mission, and values of our church.
12. Undertake any other duties as required which are commensurate with the role.
13. Performing other duties from time to time as may be directed by the senior pastor.
14. Be a key member of the prayer department and support the fostering of a prayer culture at WCC.
15. Familiarise with the history, culture, and doctrine at WCC.
* Key Requirements:
1. Experience of starting and/or growing a church ministry.
2. Experience of leading or being part of a church plant.
3. Experience in evangelism and discipleship.
4. A strong sense of leadership and willing to assist during volunteer meetings.
5. General group leadership in behaviour, deportment (i.e., stage etiquette), attendance and punctuality at all church
events.
* Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a similar role.
2. Previous experience in a position of responsibility in a setting where success comes from persuasion and influence
rather than command and control.
3. Able to demonstrate a record of being a leader of change in culture and practice.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Additional Considerations:
1. An excused absence will be granted when it is requested sufficiently in advance from the senior pastor.
2. The senior pastor will normally excuse absence for illness or emergency, but the music director must communicate
promptly with the senior pastor and in advance of the desired absence. Excessive absence due to illness or other
reasons will be considered in performance reviews.
3. Employment may be terminated by the incumbent or the church with a 30-day notice.
* Evaluation:
1. A performance review will be conducted after 90 and 180 days by the senior pastor and the board of trustees, with
input (in form of feedback) from various team members and the congregation.
2. The Director’s leadership, initiatives, potentials, and achievements will be important evaluation factors, as will
generally attitude and spirit of helpfulness, including punctuality and attendance.
