Salary: £29,070 (including service charge)
Your purpose will be:
To carry out all required duties within the Back of House department and all related areas and ensure 5-star safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
You will be accountable for:
1. Upholding good housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean and pleasant working environment.
2. Complying with all Health and Safety at Work, especially COSHH and Manual Handling regulations, and ensuring attendance at all training sessions provided.
3. Ensuring standards with personal hygiene and grooming are consistently met.
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
1. Assisting in the preparation of operating equipment for functions, inventories, and other requirements.
2. Washing and polishing all operating equipment and cooking utensils and examining cleanliness before distribution.
3. Emptying bins and clearing and sorting refuse for operating equipment according to hotel policy.
4. Thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all areas related to refuse when required.
5. Washing, disinfecting, degreasing, drying, and polishing all floor surfaces, walls, kitchen equipment, and other equipment before, during, and after each meal service.
6. Assisting with the cleaning of operating equipment during banquet functions or at peak periods in back-of-house areas related to the outlets.
7. Maintaining staff facilities clean including locker rooms.
Qualifications
What you will need to do in this role:
1. 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
2. Intermediate communication skills, both written & verbal.
3. Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment.
4. Proven organizational skills, able to work independently, and set and meet deadlines with quality results.
5. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others.
6. Willing to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays.
7. A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
