This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious and highly motivated specialty doctor to join our Trauma & Orthopaedics team, based at Dorset County Hospital.
Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practice with the General Medical Council.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing inpatient and outpatient Trauma and Orthopaedic services.
2. Supporting the lower limb arthroplasty services.
3. Being part of a Multidisciplinary Team, including Consultants in Anaesthetics and Rheumatology (pain service), Radiology, Pathology, Elderly Care, nursing staff, physiotherapists, and Occupational Therapists.
4. Contributing to the training of Higher and Basic Surgical Trainees and other professional team members.
5. Ensuring a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of patient care.
6. Fulfilling continuing professional development requirements in line with clinical governance.
7. Developing special interests to enhance current department offerings.
8. Participating in audit and other areas of Directorate and Care Group responsibilities.
9. Attending and actively participating in monthly education meetings.
