Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will:
* Take full ownership of multiple contracts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
* Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
* Oversee the entire lifecycle of mechanical contracts, from initial tender through to successful project completion.
* Coordinate and collaborate with design teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
* Manage and lead project teams, providing clear direction and fostering a high-performance culture.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, building regulations, and health and safety protocols.
* Monitor project progress, prepare detailed reports, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
* Control and manage project budgets, negotiating contracts and minimizing costs while maintaining quality standards.
* Resolve technical challenges and provide innovative solutions to ensure project success.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager handling multi-million-pound contracts in commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and pipefitting.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* A track record of delivering projects to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
* A solid understanding of building regulations, health and safety standards, and industry best practices.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred).
* A full UK driving license.
