JobSummary:
To support theExternal Funding Team and other staff in the Programme ManagementService with the design development commissioning and delivery ofexternally funded projects and programmes that support economicgrowth.
To support theimplementation of the Council s External Funding Strategy byresearching and investigating possible sources of funding attendingmeetings with interested parties developing eligible projectsgathering and presenting information developing partnerships andproviding expertadvice.
To play a keyrole in the delivery of the Crowdfund Walsall Programme and widercorporate social responsibility activity including leading onadvisory support project development monitoring visits programmemonitoring training andpublicity.
To providegeneral assistance to the External Funding Team including databasedevelopment record keeping social media monitoring and reporting onproject outcomes andactivity.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities:
Act as aninitial point of contact for the External Funding Team andCrowdfund Walsall Programme in responding to requests forinformation via a range of communication methods includingtelephone email website and socialmedia.
Research andinvestigate possible sources of external funding gather relevantinformation (e.g. criteria deadlines) and present opportunities toCouncil staff andcommittees.
Support thedevelopment of partnerships between various sectors in order toaccess funding for multiagencyinitiatives.
Provide expertadvice to Council staff to ensure that funding proposals aredesigned and approved in accordance with the Council s grantsmanual procedures and funder rules andrequirements.
Assist with thedevelopment of high quality bids including drafting supportingdocumentation job descriptions tender briefs and governancestructures.
Liaise withproject leads partners and elected members to deliver promotionalopportunities to raise awareness of external funded projectsincluding drafting press releases and social mediaactivity.
Play a key rolein the delivery of the Crowdfund Walsall Programme running thematch funding process organising and presenting at panel meetingsadvising projects conducting project visits and supportingprogramme monitoring andreporting.
Lead on theCrowdfund Walsall Marketing Strategy to raise awareness of theprogramme locally through workshops presentations sharing bestpractice and updating webpages social networking sites andenewsletters.
Support thelocal Voluntary and Community Sector in identifying and tacklingkey issues and problems to accessing Crowdfund Walsall and otherpots of funding and strategies to address these sharing issues andsolutions with the wider projectteam.
Develop new andmaintain existing good relationships with funders businessesstakeholders and delivery partners to ensure the External FundingTeam has a good level of intelligence on each of its projects andto assist in delivery of economic developmentplans.
Lead on themaintenance of project files records and databases in accordancewith strict funderrequirements.
Attend projectworking group and team meetings drafting and presenting accurateand timely performancereports.
Servicedesignated meetings including the preparation of agendas supportingpapers minute taking management of actionsetc.
EssentialExperienceRequired:
Be experiencedand have good working knowledge of the VCSEsector.
Be a successfulfundraiser / bidwriter.
Haveoutstanding project delivery and communication skills includingwriting and presenting information for diverseaudiences.
Be able todeliver in a fastpaced environment and meet tight deadlines withthe support of a friendlyteam.
Good digitalskills including socialmedia.
EssentialQualificationsRequired:
Educated todegree level or possessing equivalent experience within theappropriatefields.
A relevantfunding or project qualification e.g. IOF AMP PRINCE 2 orequivalentexperience.
