Job Summary
We are seeking a Paralegal based in our European Headquarters in Maidstone Kent to join our legal team on a 9 month contract basis.
This is a varied and interesting role where you will assist and work with the Head of Legal and other legal team members to deliver the day-to-day legal advice to the business and ensure compliance with key legal requirements.
1. Drafting and advising on non-disclosure agreements and confidentiality letters;
2. Drafting and advising on agreements of variation;
3. Working directly with internal and external clients (public and private sector) in the contract review and negotiation process;
4. Ensuring that the Company complies with laws, business processes and guidelines;
5. Assist in the management of external solicitors and counsel as appropriate;
6. Managing and supporting the internal debt recovery litigation lifecycle from the point it is passed from the credit control team;
7. Filing and maintaining the Contracts Repository;
8. Raising purchase orders and sending invoices for external legal fees for payment;
9. Renewing and applying for trademarks and maintaining the trademarks repository;
10. Responding to DSARS and updating internal records;
11. Maintaining and communicating the data breach and DSAR report on a monthly basis.
Experience and Skills Required
1. Qualification: Law Degree (preferable);
2. Previous in-house experience, ideally in a busy commercial environment;
3. Strong interpersonal, organisational, verbal, and written communication skills;
4. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines;
5. Ability to work independently but know when to escalate matters to the Head of Legal;
6. Is able to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
7. Strong client service ethic;
8. Up to date on legal and regulatory developments that impact a commercial technology business.
