Position Overview Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Training & Competence Co-ordinator, located in Aberdeen office. The Training & Competence Co-ordinator is an integral position within the Competence Team, who is responsible for ensuring strong communication with their allocated assets and departments related to reporting of compliance, dispensation resolution, implementation of change and the allocation of Assessor and Internal Verifiers. An integral member of the Technical Excellence function, this role significantly contributes towards the demonstration of a trained and competent onshore and offshore workforce. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that training and competence records held within the Training Management System (TMS) and Competence Management System (CMS) are accurate and maintained appropriately. Responsible for ensuring that all personnel are allocated the appropriate Primary and Secondary Job Roles within the TMS and CMS, ensuring that all additional role training and competence requirements are recorded and maintained (i.e. Emergency Response, Marine Responsible Person, Radiation Protection Supervisor etc). Formal appointment to the role of SQA Centre Co-ordinator for the day-to-day centre requirements, including scheduling and supporting annual external verification activities. Proactively ensure that asset and department training and competence compliance is maintained by lookahead planning of upcoming refresher requirements and working alongside TMS Administrator. Co-ordination of upcoming Competence Assessments with asset and department Assessors and Internal Verifiers. Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of in-house training course requirements (i.e. Competence Assessor, Internal Verifier, Internal Audit etc). Working closely with Core Contractor Counterparts to ensure the appropriate sharing of training and competence records related to Safety Critical Roles. Developing and maintaining training and competency reports, ensuring that these are regularly communicated, and key insights are highlighted to asset and department management. Ensuring that all training and competence expectations are fulfilled within a timely manner, in line with matrix requirements. Identifying training and competence gaps and following the relevant dispensation process to ensure these are actively managed and resolved. Working closely with the Senior Competence Advisor and Technical Training Specialist to ensure that all training and competence expectations are implemented in a standardised fashion across assets and departments. Assist in the creation and maintenance of approved training course and training provider lists. Qualifications & Experience Higher Education, advanced Technical Diploma, or equivalent. Strong computer literacy (MS Excel, PowerBi, MS Word, MS PowerPoint) Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. Proven ability to work effectively within a team and on own initiative. Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and process oriented. Experience of working within the energy, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industries. Experience of working within a training and competence role. Experience of working with digital training and competence solutions, reporting and analytics tools. Experienced in working with multiple assets and departments in a fast-paced environment.
