Are you an experienced Quality Inspector ready to make a significant impact on one of the UK’s most pivotal infrastructure projects? We at CWA (Civil Works Alliance) are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Site Inspector for the Sizewell C project.
About Sizewell C: Sizewell C is a game-changing project on the Suffolk coast, featuring two European Pressurized Reactors (EPRs) with a combined capacity of 3.2 gigawatts. This monumental endeavour will generate low-carbon electricity for approximately six million homes and provide reliable, clean energy for at least 60 years. As part of our commitment to the UK's energy future, this project is also set to create thousands of jobs and bolster both local and national economies.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Conduct thorough inspections of earthworks and enabling works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Monitor construction activities, verifying adherence to quality control procedures and safety protocols.
Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Identify, document, and report non-conformances or defects in the construction process.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, observations, and corrective actions.
Participate in site meetings and provide input on quality-related issues and construction progress.
Assist in developing and implementing quality control plans and procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience in civil construction quality inspection, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, codes, and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work confidently at all levels of management and workforce.
Proficiency in quality inspection tools and software.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to the site as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in nuclear power plant construction or similar high-complexity projects.
Certification in quality control or construction inspection.
