Senior Commissioning Officer Fixed Term Contract until 31st October 2025 Grade 5 - £41,511 - £49,764 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week Exciting Opportunity: Senior Commissioning Officer - Domestic Abuse An exciting extended fixed term, maternity leave cover, opportunity has arisen to join the Domestic Abuse Prevention Team which is focused on preventing and tackling Domestic Abuse across the city. The post holder will lead on implementing Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act, which places new duties on local authorities to provide domestic abuse support in safe accommodation for all victims. Amongst other duties, this exciting and challenging role will involve progressing and delivering work at a fast pace by : Proactively managing and overseeing the action plan pertaining to the newly established and agreed Domestic Abuse Prevention Strategy 2024 which is a citywide strategy. This will include managing and overseeing the implementation of a number of strategy delivery groups to be set up from January to ensure the action plan for the Strategy is moving forward. Preparing reports to Cabinet and Cabinet Members, including attendance at those meetings. Collaboratively working with a range of partners both internally and externally to support and drive our Domestic Abuse Local Strategic Partnership Board forward. Support to develop a whole-system review of key pathways for victims of domestic abuse such as homelessness/housing and criminal justice. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who are passionate and confident in, and have a track record of, working with survivors of domestic abuse and their children and have experience in the aforementioned areas.
