Based in Harlow in Essex and part of the wider CPC Foods Limited group, the sausages produced in the purpose-built facilities – supported by the latest technology - are distributed nationally through retail giants such as Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. The taste created by Riverway sausages – whether it be Traditional Pork, Cumberland or Caramelised Onion – is second to none.
A fantastic opportunity to join the engineering team at Riverway Foods. The apprenticeship is a four-year programme where you will develop the industry skills & knowledge to become a qualified maintenance engineer which will consist of:
* OAL Level 3 Diploma in Food and Drink Engineering Maintenance
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Included in the 4 years is residential engineering training at the Training Provider in Redditch, 20 weeks in year one, 14 weeks in the second year, and 6 weeks in the third year. The fourth year is spent consolidating learning and preparing for the End Point Assessment
* Access at our affiliated Training Provider to the latest technology in a purpose-built training facility equipped with the very latest machinery and process control systems
What happens after you complete the apprenticeship?
On successful completion, typically our apprentices will move into the shift engineering teams.
As part of the engineering team you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of all plant and equipment to achieve maximum machine availability targets. Through both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs you will work to minimise disruption to production targets, whilst ensuring that all equipment adheres to relevant legislation and that a safe working environment is maintained at all times for yourself and other colleagues.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00.
