Job Description:
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a confident, sociable and chatty lady in my fifties living at home with my parents in the Tonteg area of Rhondda Cynon Taf. My main disabilities are epilepsy and a slight learning disability; I also have hydrocephalus which has not affected me for approximately 40 years.
The seizures I experience are semi partial seizures and patterns/auras in my eyes.
I enjoy my independence and making my own decisions but because of these disabilities my short term memory is poor and occasionally I need prompting or reminding to do things, for example remembering my purse when going out or putting the alarm on.
I have lots of interests, I’m computer literate and like working on my laptop. I enjoy other people's company, being out and about shopping, swimming and going for meals.
I also attend the gym to do gentle exercises and monitor my progress but my personal assistant is not required to participate.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The main purpose of the job is to provide me with support and encouragement when I go out socially and to ensure I am safe at all times. This will help me be more independent and increase my confidence to pursue my hobbies and interests.
