This is an exciting opportunity to fulfil a strategic role within the senior management team of Communities and Neighbourhoods, which brings together a range of operational services that focus on delivering essential waste and streetscene services. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Waste and Streetscene to lead the delivery of vital services that directly impact our residents' quality of life. Your leadership will help us reduce environmental impact, improve operational efficiency, and meet the needs of our growing and diverse communities. You will have direct responsibility for the management and delivery of the statutory waste management functions, including the design and implementation of the new Simpler Recycling requirements by 2026. As part of the senior management team, you will be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues and partners on a range of issues. You will be a first-class communicator and demonstrate excellent leadership skills. You will have an appreciation and understanding of working within a political environment. You will have extensive experience in an operational environment at a senior management level. A strategic approach and vision to deliver service improvements, financial planning, and people management skills together with substantial experience of developing and achieving organisational goals and targets is essential.
