Job Title : Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager
Location : Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, UK
Rate of Pay : £20 - £24 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours : 37.5 hours per week
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager to join a well-established residential care provider in Huddersfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a leadership role in a service that provides high-quality care to individuals with physical and neurological conditions.
About the Role :
As Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the service. You will manage a team of nurses and support staff, ensuring that everyone receives the guidance, training, and support they need to deliver the best possible care. You’ll also be responsible for making sure care plans are tailored to each person’s needs and ensuring the service meets all regulatory requirements.
You’ll be working closely with the people we support, their families, and other health and social care professionals to ensure that person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities :
* Person-Centred Care : Assess, plan, and implement care plans with the individuals we support, involving them and their families in the process. Make sure care is delivered according to each person’s needs.
* Team Management : Supervise and lead a team of nurses and support staff, offering guidance, training, and support. Ensure the team works together to provide high-quality care and that all team members have the skills they need.
* Clinical Oversight : Oversee the assessment and monitoring of care needs, ensuring that any changes in health are noted and managed quickly. You will also be responsible for making referrals to other health professionals when necessary.
* Medication Management : Ensure the safe ordering, storage, and administration of medication in line with relevant guidelines and legislation.
* Compliance and Quality Assurance : Make sure the service complies with all relevant legislation, care standards, and policies. Regularly audit practices and ensure all care meets the required standards.
* Training and Development : Help identify training needs, and ensure that staff receive regular professional development opportunities. You’ll also be involved in staff performance appraisals.
* Other Duties : Carry out any other reasonable duties to ensure the smooth running of the service.

The service is a lovely Victorian villa in Huddersfield, offering a comfortable and supportive environment for individuals with a variety of physical and neurological conditions. The service provides a homely atmosphere with 25 rooms and a private garden for the people we support to enjoy.

Essential Requirements :
* Registered Nurse : You must be a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
* Previous Experience : Experience in a Clinical Lead or Deputy Manager role is highly desirable.
* Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Care Planning : Experience in writing and reviewing comprehensive person-centred care plans.
* Regulatory Knowledge : A good understanding of care standards, policies, and relevant legislation.
* Medication Management : Experience in managing medication processes and ensuring safety in a clinical environment.
