WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT
As our Social Media Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, developing and executing social media and content strategies for some of our key clients. Working into the Head of Content Marketing & Social Media, and closely with the Senior Social Media Manager, you will ensure our strategies are creative, our content is engaging, and our audiences are interacting.
Coming from the agency or events world, you will have experience launching new brands in startup or high growth environments. Experience implementing paid growth strategies would be ideal as we look to evolve this area of our business.
WE WILL COUNT ON YOU TO
Social Media Strategy & Content Planning
* Develop and execute social media strategies, across both a conference and news site, with a focus on creativity
* Oversee content calendars, planning campaigns and activity schedules that drive engagement, follower growth, and brand visibility
* Ensure consistent posting schedules and timely delivery of campaigns across multiple platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
* Coordinate with the Senior Social Media Manager on content quality and strategic approach, enhancing standards and overall output
Content Creation & Community Engagement
* Collaborate with clients and internal teams to produce social media copy and concepts that align with brand tone and resonate with audiences
* Lead the transformation of content from weekly livestreams and other formats into snackable, social-first assets (videos, infographics, stories) that drive engagement
* Support content production on-site at events, capturing video content, interviews, and live updates
Performance Tracking & Reporting
* Utilise analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meltwater, native platform insights) to measure and analyse campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for future campaigns
* Contribute to monthly / quarterly reporting on social metrics, brand sentiment, engagement rates, and audience growth
* Ensure the Social Media Executive collates comprehensive reports across platforms, including Meltwater (social listening), paid campaigns, and website performance
Client & Campaign Management
* Manage client communications, ensuring timely responses to feedback and changes, and fostering strong, trusting relationships with clients
* Identify opportunities for community outreach, influencer partnerships, and content collaborations to grow engagement and amplify client brand reach
* Respond quickly to social listening alerts, handling any sentiment shifts or necessary brand defences in coordination with the Community Lead
WHO WE THINK WOULD BE A GOOD FIT
* Proven experience in social media management, ideally from an agency or events background
* Experience in or a passion for the technology space, ideally blockchain or Web3 – can thrive in an innovative and disruptive industry and has experience making complex topics more human and relatable
* Ideally experienced with influencer partnerships and community management strategies in tech or blockchain fields
* Strong expertise in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) and a strong understanding of engagement strategies for each
* Proven ability to build social media strategies that increase follower growth and foster community interactions
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to adapt messaging to different audiences effectively
* Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills - confident working with creative teams to bring ideas to life
* Highly collaborative and emotionally intelligent team player
* Strong planning, organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding and fast paced environment
* Ability to respond rapidly to evolving situations, showing resilience, adaptability and a solution-oriented approach
* Willing to learn, share knowledge, be accountable and lead by example – fosters a strong, positive culture based on our values
* Understanding of social media analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meltwater), with a strategic mindset to use data for continuous improvement
* Strong IT skills – proficient with Office 365 (particularly Outlook and Excel) and naturally IT savvy with the ability to learn new systems, portals and tools
