Block Manager - Burgess Hill Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 basic Hours: Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM and Friday 9am - 5.00pm Location: Burgess Hill (office-based with site visits) Requirements: Full UK driving licence and own transport required Free on street parking We are working with a leading property management company that is looking for an experienced Property Manager or someone keen to transition into Block Management to join their expanding team. The Role: As a Block Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a portfolio of residential blocks and developments. Working closely with freeholders, leaseholders, contractors, and the accounts team, you will ensure that all properties are well-maintained, compliant, and financially managed effectively. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential developments Liaising with leaseholders, freeholders, and contractors to coordinate maintenance and repairs Raising work orders and ensuring contractor performance meets expectations Attending AGMs and conducting regular site inspections Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and all relevant legislation Managing budgets and service charge accounts, working closely with the accounts team Handling tenant and leaseholder queries, resolving issues professionally Assisting with major works and refurbishment projects as required What We’re Looking For: Experience in block & estate management or a property management background with an interest in moving into block management Strong knowledge of leases, compliance, and industry regulations Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask A proactive and problem-solving mindset with a customer-focused approach Ability to work both independently and within a team A full UK driving licence and access to own transport for site visits Desirable (but not essential): AIRPM qualification or actively working towards it This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and dynamic organisation, with excellent career growth potential and the chance to work in a varied and rewarding role.
