Purpose
Ensuring Commercial Metering contributes towards the strategic objectives of the Customer Business through effective internal account management, you will maximise growth opportunities for the Commercial Metering business through effective account management.
Developing and maintaining a positive Health and Safety culture within the business, you will develop a strong customer/supplier ethos within Commercial Metering, whilst leading and proactively driving the identification of Commercial Metering business improvement opportunities.
Contributing towards a lead role in working alongside all external suppliers to establish key process improvements which ensure a positive customer experience, you will lead business change and cultural improvement initiatives across Operations.
Working alongside the Commercial team to manage operational contact with all internal departments and all external contracted parties in support of the provision of services, including the resolution of operational problems, customer queries and complaints in agreed timescales, you will ensure the delivery and maintenance of Commercial Contracts with customers.
Ensuring effective financial controls are maintained in all aspects of revenue and capital expenditure, you will also be responsible for the direct selling of various services and products to Industrial and Commercial customers and Energy suppliers.
Providing support to the Commercial Manager and the Commercial team for the sale of Metering & Data management services, you will hold responsibility for providing a managed service to all customers within contractual obligations.
Responsibilities
Providing support to the business Commercial team in maximising opportunities to reduce the overall cost to serve through the introduction of more defined processes through customer journeys, you will contribute to (and lead where appropriate) cross-functional projects and initiatives which support the strategic objectives of the ScottishPower Group.
Ensuring that all new process enhancements to support Commercial Metering growth are delivered efficiently and effectively, you will confirm that all budgetary and performance targets in relation to the role are met on an ongoing basis.
Complying with all Supply Contracts in the delivery of new and amended processes and products, you will also develop and lead the plan to grow the Commercial Metering customer portfolio in line with the company Business Plan.
Identifying and initiating relationships with potential customers in the Industrial and Commercial sector, you will assess customer needs and identify potential business development opportunities.
Developing and delivering a high-profile account management/sales service to secure loyalty and commitment from Commercial Metering customers, you will be required to travel UK wide to meet and present to potential customers.
What you’ll bring
Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will possess the ability to understand complexity quickly and make decisions with confidence and clarity.
Displaying a proven track record in leading and delivering significant change projects and managing at a senior level, you will understand the strategic direction and formulation of business priorities.
With well-developed project management skills, you will be comfortable influencing at all levels of the organisation up to Director level.
As a self-starter, you will hold strong supply chain management skills and a proven ability to manage internal suppliers, external service providers and customers to deliver business improvement plans.
Highly motivated and proactive with well-developed business process improvement leadership skills, you will also have excellent commercial skills and an ability to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
