Management of compliance and performance of both the internal and external dedicated fleet operator on HS2. Ensuring full support provided to the EKFB management and safety teams. Purpose of the role Close management of the performance and compliance of the HS2 internal and external fleet. Ensuring the compliance to Health & Safety, EU regulations, Working Time Directive and all aspects or road transport law. Supporting all fleet related issues and close working relationships with EKFB team. Key Accountabilities Provide support in the resolution of haulier queries. Liaise with Distribution, Sales and Operations to ensure effective customer service and resource utilisation. Manage any discipline issues that may occur. Act as a point of contact for hauliers and EKFB through the project. Review current methods of operation and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance by hauliers of all statutory legislation and company regulations in respect of transport, health and safety and any other requirements in respect of haulage and delivery arrangements. To ensure KPI’s are maintained, and actions put in place to make improvements where necessary. To monitor the daily performance of hauliers to include availability, punctuality, reliability, and condition of the fleet & take corrective actions where required. Education/Qualification CPC qualification Experience Previous experience of managing a fleet whilst working closely with a major customer. Demonstrable experience in a transport/logistics role with responsibility for process improvements Previous experience in a similar position within the building materials industry Management/ Leadership Skills Self-starter, energetic, hands-on approach; Effective planning and prioritisation skills Ability to work under pressure Open minded and creative, yet practical and results focused; Ability to inspire and motivate others; Ability to identify and report issues; Ability to negotiate and influence at all levels; Excellent communicator at all levels.
