About the role We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work across Cambridgeshire within our Prevention and Early Intervention services. The aim of the service is to identify, prevent, reduce and delay the need for both short- and long-term care and support. It comprises of the Adult Early Help team, Reablement, Technology Enabled Care, Sensory Services and Occupational Therapy. We play a crucial role in preventing admissions, promoting single handed care through specialist assessment and equipment provision, signposting, problem solving, facilitating discharges, and acting as a link between health and social care. This project will be focusing on the proactive review of people receiving double handed care and support. Occupational therapy assessment will aim to determine whether the provision of moving and handling equipment, information and advice, and support to care staff, can optimise these packages of care. This is a hybrid post. Working from home with multiple office bases around county including March, Ely, Huntingdon, St Ives and Cambridge. Dependant on location of employee. The role is offered on a full-time basis (37 hours per week) as a 12 month fixed term opportunity. Interviews are planned for the week beginning the 24 th of March. About you You will be educated to Degree or Diploma level in a subject recognised by the College of Occupational Therapy and have experience in assessing moving and handling, and optimising care/ single handed care. We have office bases across Cambridgeshire and the post holders work base may be negotiable dependant on the needs of the service. We work in an agile way, and home working for a proportion of the working week will be supported.
