An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join Wreake Valley Academy to undertake the role of Cover Supervisor on a fixed term basis until 25th August 2025. We are looking for somebody to work 12-18 hours per week as a job share, with working hours and days to be discussed further at interview. We seek a team player who is caring, compassionate, creative, resilient, and has a good sense of humour.
As Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during teacher planning time, teacher training, and short-term absences. The Cover Supervisor will need to be adaptable and able to assist pupils with their work, respond to questions, and uphold standards of behaviour in the classroom. This role is rewarding, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to gain experience delivering pre-planned lessons to whole classes and progressing children’s learning.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in education or for someone who is looking to take the next step towards developing the required skills before undertaking their Teacher (QTS) qualification.

The ideal candidate will:
1. Be NVQ Level 2 qualified or equivalent
2. Have strong communication skills
3. Be committed to ensuring pupils make good progress whilst under their supervision
4. Have the ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning are undertaken
5. Have the ability to work alongside a wide range of colleagues for collaboration and support
