Join our team in Thornaby as a Supervising Social Worker where you will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible. Your day will be varied. You can follow a flexible structure whilst supporting our foster carers, holding realistic caseloads, and providing a high level of supervision, monitoring, and intervention. You will work within a Trauma-informed practice model where we can support and follow a therapeutic practice. You will have the opportunity to complete Form F Assessments, be part of our Children & Young people’s participation and strategy events and be part of our out-of-hours service, where you will support our foster carers on a rota basis. Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for committed and dedicated people who want to continue their careers with a therapeutically based organisation and leading independent fostering agency. For newly qualified social workers, you will have access to the ASYE programme, formal CHARMS training as well as access to our peer and group clinical supervision provided by a qualified psychologist; you will have opportunities to integrate with our clinical, educational and residential services, we like to promote from within so you will have access to career progression opportunities. Hours Our full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9 am -5:00 pm and Fridays 9 am – 4:30 pm You will be expected to be in our office for at least one day per week. The role is full-time over five days per week.
