Paraplanner (Intern) Role
As a Paraplanner (also known as a Financial Planning Technician), you will support Financial Planners by providing recommendations, financial analysis, technical research, and support to deliver excellent client service and outcomes. Your responsibilities include acting as a point of contact for clients, handling queries, preparing client files for review meetings, and occasionally attending these meetings with Planners.

This role is based at Fiscal Engineers in Nottingham, a team of expert advisers with extensive experience in managing high-net-worth individuals, joining the Progeny Group.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Financial Planners with technical research, recommendations, and financial analysis to ensure high-quality client service.
* Identify and discuss planning opportunities with the Financial Planner.
* Conduct research to find suitable solutions for clients' specific objectives.
* Prepare documentation and comparisons for review.
* Draft suitability letters for review and signing.
* Implement changes to clients’ investment portfolios accurately and promptly when instructed.
* Manage client queries effectively as a point of contact.
* Prepare client files for review meetings.
* Attend client meetings with Planners when appropriate.
* Assist in preparing and administering recommendations, supporting non-client-facing tasks.
* Maintain CPD records in line with the firm’s Training and Competence Plan.
* Adhere to Statements of Principle & Code of Practice and FCA rules.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
* Experience as a paraplanner or technical support within a financial planning firm.
* Familiarity with a range of provider products and services.
* Knowledge of key financial planning areas: investment, retirement, protection, estate planning.
* Understanding of FCA suitability requirements.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to produce clear, concise, and personalized reports from complex information.
* Strong report writing skills, with good grammar, punctuation, and audience awareness.
