The temporary role advertised is to support and deliver moving and handling training as well as mandatory care training to the reablement service.
The post holder will be required to support Adult Social Care (ASC) with a focus on Reablement to maintain competencies of staff, deliver a safe and effective service, in compliance with assessment, and within the context of Social Care and Health policy and legislation.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Reablement Service within the Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The Reablement team provide a high quality person centred reablement service with the aim of promoting and sustaining people’s independence living in the community.
Support the Assurance and Workforce Manager, Moving and Handling Practitioner & Trainer and the council's Talent and Development team with the organization of annual learning and development strategic priorities and plans for the Reablement service and all associated administration. Enabling ASC to meet national and professional practice standards and embedding a culture of continuous learning and practice improvement across the organization.
Support the development and delivery of the key Induction programs for ASC workers to ensure that all staff are informed, valued and engaged in line with the directorate and Councils vision, values and aims and national standards.
Support the Reablement service and work with the employment skills team, and talent and development team by ensuring data and information is available about the workforce including training and competency levels of Reablement workers, Assistant Reablement Coordinator (ARC) and Reablement Coordinators (RCO). Ensure that up to date, accurate and relevant information is provided so that enquirers can be informed in their decision making.
Deliver certain training to Reablement staff required for CQC assurance and in line with skills and knowledge required for delivering home based Reablement care. This can include but not exclusive to; medication administration training, moving and handling training, observation visits to sign off medication administration competency.
Your role will be to support the team to deliver workforce strategy and planning priorities and actions, including engagement with the wider Council on workforce delivery, training and development planning, Work with the employment skills team, and talent and development team.
Essential
NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration/Finance
Advanced IT skills - ECDL or equivalent in MS Office suite
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
ROSPA level 2 Moving and Handling training or willingness to undertake.
Willingness to undertake Trusted Assessor
ILM Level 2
