An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, friendly and enthusiastic individual to work as the Facilities Co-ordinator – Residential Accommodation within Facilities.
The post holder is required to provide an efficient and effective support service to the residents in staff residential accommodation on the Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital site, including accommodation booking, security of property, key holding, and record keeping.
They will be working without direct supervision, using their own initiative and prioritising their own work as necessary. Adhering to laid down standards, following set procedures and delivering services in a timely manner. The post holder will liaise between tenants and other parties as necessary.
This post holder is a key member of the Facilities team and will be required to provide support in the development of service improvements and assist with or undertake specific tasks/projects as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will be required to communicate with a variety of people face to face, by telephone and in writing. While communication will be largely routine, there may be some barriers due to difficulties with language and culture.
This will include communicating with family members residing within the accommodation. This may require tact and sensitivity to the needs of different cultures.
Liaising with suppliers, tradesmen, council operatives and resolving problems as they arise.
Allocating all types of accommodation in accordance with the Health Board’s Accommodation Policies and the National Standards for Living and Working Conditions for Hospital Doctors in Training WHC (2001) 34 and the Housing Act 2016 (Wales).
Inputting and maintaining records of all accommodation usage including those required by law: licence, tenancy agreements.
Creating comprehensive reports using spreadsheets as required by management.
Regularly using computer software, ensuring all records are accurate, up to date and comply with the Data Protection Act.
