Global Accounting Network are currently partnering with a sustainable technology company to source a Group Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Newly Qualified accountant looking to take their first step out of practice into industry. Skills/experience required:
* ACA qualified (or equivalent).
* Newly Qualified through an audit scheme such as Big 4.
* External audit experience is essential.
* Someone who likes a challenge, is driven and motivated, can work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude!
Main responsibilities:
* Working on ad-hoc financial reporting tasks/projects as assigned.
* Preparation of the Board Pack, working with the FP&A team to prepare the budgeting pack.
* Assistance in the preparation of the year end Annual Report.
* Liaising with and advising subsidiaries on financial reporting matters, as well as others at a Group level.
* Contribute to the monthly Group Operating Report (management accounts) to meet Board requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with group standards.
* Production of reports as required, including information for financial control purposes and for Treasury, Tax and M&A departments.
* Responsible for updating consolidation adjustment journals and control intercompany eliminations and seek explanations for variances.
* Contribute to the half and full year consolidated accounts ensuring compliance with group accounting policies, statutory requirements and IFRS.
* Reviewing and analysing submissions from businesses, partnering with the relevant finance teams to examine unexpected items.
* Preparation of statutory accounts for UK subsidiaries mainly under FRS 101.
* Assisting with external auditors in their audit budgeting.
* Working on ad-hoc financial reporting tasks/projects as assigned.
