A rare opportunity has arisen to work on the staff of a prestigious and outstanding grammar school where examination results highlight Beaconsfield High School as one of the leading schools in the UK.
We would like to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Student Welfare and Safeguarding Officer.
The successful candidate will work together with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and wider Safeguarding Team and Student Welfare and Wellbeing Team to support and work with students and their families, including those who are most vulnerable. These responsibilities will include safeguarding and building engagement with families within the school community and supporting students’ wellbeing and welfare as required.
The successful candidate will also assist the Designated Safeguarding Lead and other pastoral staff in taking a lead on safeguarding across the school (acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead), coordinating referrals, arranging action, managing safeguarding records and reviewing services for children and families. The successful candidate will also work with staff to support student welfare throughout the school, working with the Student Welfare Team and designated member of staff for looked after children.
Candidates should be suitably qualified and have experience of safeguarding issues and procedures, which includes supporting cases and managing caseloads, working together with multi agencies to support the needs of the individual or groups of young people and be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.
