Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team in Prenton, Birkenhead. In this role, you will be working flexible hours (15-20 hours a week) to assist our client in the community and in daily living by providing high-quality care and support, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Our client is very social and enjoys attending concerts, theatres, and events, and supports Liverpool by attending home games.
Due to the client's pets, applicants must be confident with dogs and tarantulas.
Working Hours:
15-20 hours a week. Rota will be done on a monthly basis, but hours/days are flexible depending on the client's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalised care and support to our client with complex health conditions.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client's conditions.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role, preferably with learning disabilities and epilepsy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the specified hours.
* Valid UK driver's license.
